Training Manager

As a Training Manager, I have extensive experience and a proven track record supporting the project management, development, operations, and maintenance of various contracts and task orders. As the Training Manager for the SAIC Advanced Information Technology Systems (AITS) Reserve Component Automation Systems (RCAS) program, I have the demonstrated knowledge and experience necessary in web-based training, graphics/multimedia and oversight of the delivery of quality products on time. With over 10 years of experience and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, I possess the requisite knowledge and training to manage training programs. My experience includes 10 years of relevant experience managing instructional systems design and developing, and implementing e-learning training curriculum and online courseware including expertise in Distributed Learning (dL) and instructor-led training for the Army National Guard (ARNG) and U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Internal Revenue Service, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of Energy.

In addition to the aforementioned experience, I managed up to five trainers who conducted training via onsite, Adobe Connect and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) for up to 5,000 ARNG and USAR soldiers and served as the coordinator and point of contact with the field. My leadership efforts resulted in the RCAS training team meeting or exceeding 100% of its service level agreement (SLA) metrics throughout the entire contract. In addition, my team earned recognition from SAIC and the Government.

My role also included coordinating and managing instructor-led and web-based courses, revising web-based courses, and managing developers who use ActiveX, Java, Flash, Windows, and Real, and QuickTime. I managed the development team that created the Computer-Based Training (CBT), VTC, and dL courseware in Adobe Captivate, including testing and maintenance. I also oversaw developers who used Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) to create content to upload to various LMSs. My role using the Army Learning Management System and Guard University was to report soldier enrollment and completion activities on each LMS. A tool I personally used to develop just-in-time training videos was Camtasia, a tool that records onscreen activity and enables content editing and enhancement.

As an instructional designer, I worked in tandem with functional personnel in developing over 1500 pages of accurate training materials that contained software business rules, best practices, and detailed instructions. My documentation was delivered on time or ahead of schedule to the Government and incorporated U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) standards when developing terminal and enabling learning objectives. Documentation was maintained and revised as new software releases became available. All documentation was maintained on the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) website on a regular basis for the soldiers.
