Project Management

Recruiting Department

Please review the attached Resume, in consideration for position with your firm, as a “Project Manager”. I have worked as a Senior Project Manager for the last many years. I have worked in the public sector, the private sector and the DoD sectors. I have worked in the Medical Pharmaceutical and the Educational sector. I have worked with Bid-Design-Build and Design-Build Projects. My broad experience profile has provided me the tools to be part of the team’s “Lean Management” (PMP, Lean Construction, Six Sigma Black Belt, IPD-Integrated Project Management, BIM’s, Multi-prime) towards the successful completion of many varying projects and issues, ranging from the small dollar to the very large, as much a $ 25 billion.
My Business Management skills encompass: planning, organizing, leading, coordination and control that entail the directing, allocation, coordination and control of: teams, resources and support personnel with delegation and entrustment, tasks and projects, budgets and cost, bidding, proposals and contracts, business plans, goals, strategies, and objectives, technical accepts, code and contract implementation and compliance.
My Project Management skills entailed all portions and aspects of the project that have included: request for funding, contracts, scope of works, bidding, estimating, negotiations, quality control and assurance, OSHA safety compliance (29CFR 1926 and 1910), contract administrations, WBS (color of money) cost control and monitoring, design, engineering, project controls, scheduling and schedule adherence and enforcement.

Hopefully, you have already secured a new position. But, I thought I would provide some feedback just in case.

Overall I like the letter. Rather than multple references to "sectors", you might consider incorporating the references to Medical Pharmaceutical and the Educational sectors into the previous sentence. For example

"I have worked in the public sector (Educational), the private sector (Medical Pharmaceutical) and the DoD sectors."

Also outside of the DoD/DOE government agencies, I am not sure most people would recognize the acronym "WBS" as a Work Breakdown Structure. Having worked for years with EPA, OSHA, and DOE acronyms I also have to take care in using them in general discussions.
