Professional Experience

Daley’s Drywall, Campbell, CA. 2004-2011

V.P. San Francisco Office
◊ I was hired in 2004 as an estimator. I bid and managed a project Cal State Hayward Science and Business Building. During the 1 year this project lasted, I was able to display my range of talents. This $1.5 million dollar drywall and steel stud project, at the time one of our larger metal stud projects, exceeded projected profits while leaving the client satisfied. I brought forth the concept of pre-construction whereby the managers and field spend time prior to the job starting and communicate ways to understand not only how the job was put together, also to look at ways to value engineer the project whereby we could at times provide the same desired finish for a lesser price, not sacrificing quality, and in the process at times cut time off the schedule. This concept was new to my employer and by allowing me to perform in this manner our reputation grew. From there I became Commercial Operations Manager whereby I was able to implement these same functions on all projects. This launched Daley’s Drywall from basically a known residential drywall company to a top level commercial framing and drywall company. Sales increased to all-time highs as well as profits during my time here.

Martin Brothers/Marcowall, Inc. Dublin, CA. 1984-2004

Vice President
◊ I was hired in 1984 as an apprentice drywall foreman. From there I worked my way up running multiple million dollar projects as a Foreman. I stood out by finding ways to make money on every job I was in charge of. From T.I’s, to residential, OSHPD, hotel, interior or exterior, I always found a way to make record profits and at the same time please my team and the client. This led to my position as Vice President running the entire bay area Martin Brother office. In less than 2 years we went from being virtually unknown in the bay area to running the St. Regis hotel in San Francisco, California, a $13.5 million dollar job, for Webcor, the largest bay area contractor, as well as many other large, high profile projects.
