The goal in all I do is to deliver a high-quality, fully documented, software product, at a cost or time savings to stakeholders. I approach business opportunities with an enthusiasm for innovation that new challenges provide, tempered with an arsenal of past knowledge, culled during 12+ years of Java development.

Case Study One

At XDx (a genomic expression biotech firm) I mentored junior developers, and brought two short-term projects to rapid, successful conclusions, while working on an SOA-like architecture (a longer-term objective) for the core XDx software product called AlloMap.

While primarily a Java EE developer specializing in the rigor of server-side development, I also relish the rich features inherent in client-side development, and used CSS, JavaScript, and other client-side technologies to maintain current production software.

Case Study Two
At Metavante (a financial fulfillment firm), functioning as a consultant, I brought a STRUTS-based web site up for-scratch, mentoring others along the way.

When I moved to California, I telecommuted to Metavante as a full-time employee, and wrote an AXIS2 Web Service (SOA) for the Transit Center or NYC, one of Metavante’s business partners. The revenue stream for Transit Center of NYC as a result of this collaboration is roughly $3M/week.

I am a Sun-certified Programmer, pursuing a Sun Developer certification, with the goal of ultimately acquiring the Sun Architect certification.

I have lead and/or contributed to many successful projects, both as a consultant and as a full-time employee. Should you need a developer who thinks like an architect, listens to stakeholders’ concerns and acts decisively, please contact me.
