Re: Pharmacist position
I am writing to apply for the position of Pharmacist in a retail environment. With both degrees, B.S. – Pharmacy AND PharmD, I am looking forward to applying my skills in a practical setting. I am a hardworking, enthusiastic person and would be thrilled to work for your business given its exemplary reputation for progressive healthcare.

Recently I undertook a professional placement at Pharmor Pharmacy in Michigan to further enhance my patient counseling skills and gain additional compounding experience. Pharmor Pharmacy is a high traffic environment, requiring me to utilize my outstanding ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks, including customer service, technical and administrative tasks.

My day-to-day responsibilities include providing a range of patient medication advice for both prescription items, OTC (vitamins and available medicines) and extemporaneous products. I conduct all patient consultations with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring that I carry out all tasks in accordance with quality standards. As a result, I quickly became a valued member of the team and received commendation for my attention to detail and professional work ethic. Should I ever return to Michigan, I was told I would always have an open position waiting for me.

My background in retail and compound pharmacy has provided a sound framework for my transition to a customer-facing role. Having encountered a diverse array of patients, I have gained excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to solve problems and handle challenging situations. During my various work placements, I have become proficient in using many computer systems including SARS, MCKESSON ordering and BAKER CELL dispensing to name a few.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this application with you further, and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,
