COVER LETTER FOR:

TV Broadcasting

Dear Sir or Madam

I am looking to make a transition from my current sales career and I am hoping that you may want to consider meeting with me regarding employment within broadcasting. I have been successfully working as a sales executive for over 12 years in the medical equipment/pharmaceutical field, and throughout that time, I have immensely enjoyed the public speaking aspect of the job. My most profitable sales have come from my presentations and my connection with the general public. I am told on numerous occasions that this is my calling and have received the highest yearly reviews from employers with regard to my abilities to speak publicly. Although, I do not possess any formal training, I know that my personality, communication skills and confidence coupled with a strong belief in my abilities, have enabled me to perform well in front of a crowd. In the past, I have done infomercials for a former client from a speaking engagement that he had attended. Also, in high school and college, I had acting roles in all of the theatre productions and when I owned a Bridal Shop in the early 80’s, I MC’d the publicly attended bridal shows I put together. I believe that this is my passion and I would like to pursue this with NBC.
Although successful in my sales career, I have realized the aspects of my work I find most rewarding are all in my presentations through public speaking. The following offers a few highlights of my qualifications: Dynamic communication style: I am adept in building relationships, consensus and a shared sense of purpose. I am known for my ability to quickly establish trust with people, mediate disputes and motivate others into action. Experience in corporate training: A constant throughout my sales career has been my passion for the design and delivery of educational development programs. Comfortable and experienced giving both large and small-group presentations, I have conducted hundreds of training seminars for diverse audiences across all organizational levels.
Please consider a face-to-face meeting with me or if you could, with another department who might be looking for someone with my qualifications, I would be very grateful for your assistance. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. I can be reached on my cell phone at 443-617-8267 or via email at duck.christina@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
