Having been in the medical supply/equipment/lab supply/pharmaceutical sales field for over 20 years, I understand industry purchase patterns and the ongoing changes. As a distributor rep, I represented more than 600 manufacturers, selling everything from EKG instruments to exam tables to diagnostic kits in the physician and clinic marketplace. This entailed: prospecting and subsequent communicating with physicians, practice managers and hospital purchasing agents; analyzing and assessing their business process and needs; presenting profitable product solutions that would benefit everyone; closing the sale; ongoing servicing of the client. More recently, I sold a web-based program pertaining to risk management to hospitals, encompassing a territory of nine states. I am self-motivated, require minimal/no supervision, and understand the steps involved in marketing and sales of products and services (MBA in marketing and health care from Northwestern University). I ‘work’ a territory as if it were my own business-because it is my business. I have been out of the job market for 2 years due to a personal situation, and am now ready to reenter and give 100% of my time.
