QA Automation Developer

Dear QA Department

Pre-windows and object oriented systems were easier to examine. The user was forced down a channel of answering questions in a particular sequence. The new screen interfaces are more intricate and allow the users to enter data in multiple paths. Automation is sometimes the best way to challenge the new interfaces.
I have been working with automated testing tools such as HP/Mercury for the past 15 years. Working with the Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and other teams to decide on an approach to testing is something that I enjoy. I also work with companies to show them how the automated tools can make testing more pleasant and productive. I have worked on projects that use WinRunner and QTP “out of the box” as well as projects that need to have a “Test Harness” created using advanced scripting.
I learn the basics of languages such as Java for the purpose of knowing how to improve the communications between applications under test and the testing tools. This allows me to discuss linking issues with the developers and the testing tool companies.
