Laboratory Assistant

Dear Hiring Manager

I am interested in a entry level laboratory assistant position in a lab that focuses on the use of physics theory, and applied physics to resolve outstanding problems or create novel ideas.
For the past few years, I have exceled in my role as a Computer Support Technician II for Weill Medical College of Cornell University. I am A+ certified and a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP: SQL Server 2000). I have experience with Mac OS X Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, XP, 2000, and 98. I am in the process of learning the ins and outs of Windows 7, and I have completed years of certification training covering Network +, Cisco, various Microsoft server and client based products and recent Apple Certified Support Professional training for Snow Leopard. Not forgoing my technical knowledge, I feel that it may help in my entry level science career, allowing me to give additional support to my team.
I hope to reinvent myself as a scientist. As I have been able to train and excel in my Tech career, I expect no less from my new career. I previously earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Brandeis University with a double major in Physics and in Mathematics, graduating with honors in Physics. I dedicate myself to learning quickly and efficiently. I look forward to growing with a company that will at first show me the ropes and then allow me to shine. I thank you for your time and your consideration. Below I have attached a copy of my resume.
Sincerely, Horace Baxter

Seattle, Washington
