I have been working in the consumable business, including medical device companies, for the past ten years. For 16 years prior, I represented East Coast companies from my home office in California. Working for J.M. Ney out of my home office, I grew my territory 370% in eight years; in my subsequent positions I have consistently grown my territories anywhere from 37% to 43% per year. Even during the California recession from 1990-1993 I grew my territory over 22%, representing a $300,000 increase in sales; I subsequently grew that customer base 266% to $3 million within 6 months
In my last three positions I have brought in $5.1 Million, $2.8 Million and $3.7 Million in new business, respectively; each of these companies was bringing in less than $15 million per year in total revenue, so these sales represent up to 33% of yearly business.
My specific contributions to revenue production include delivering a Multi-Million dollar order in my first 12 months at Lawrence Livermore’s NIF project, the largest order in their 25 year history. The order that began this fruitful relationship was for $500! In addition, for another company, I secured a record $5 million order from Varian Medical, their largest single order taken in North America.
