Chief Financial Officer

Dear Executive Recruiter,

As a Chief Financial Officer, I have had success at companies with revenues of $25 – $100 million in both public and private sectors. Challenges have ranged from jump-starting a mature enterprise to nurturing a business transitioning from development stage to growth platform. In each situation, I filled opportunities where I significantly impacted revenue and profit by identifying and addressing new opportunities and uncovering weaknesses in the base business model.
Recently, I have been busy doing financial consulting and have been retained to work on some interesting projects including M&A, SEC filings and profit enhancement. I continue to look at full time positions which will utilize more of my strengths in financial management, operations and business development.
Following I have summarized some of my contributions… Financial Leadership: Evolve accounting from scorekeeper to business partner. Evaluate the company’s operating units. Retooled and build-out financial infrastructure, deployed best in class techniques in budgeting, analysis, business modeling, appropriate accounting controls / procedures and cash management techniques. Financial Management: Restored financial discipline. Improved departmental communications and facilitated teamwork through active coaching. Implemented “TQM” practices and reengineered corporate procedures. Implemented “KPI” as management tool. Led external reporting and compliance with the SEC, the AMEX and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Act as primary interface with auditors. Business Development / Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead on M&A, strategic initiatives and extension of core “value proposition”. Introduced new business platforms and broaden a company’s customer offering through external alliances and internal innovation. Lead contract and vendor negotiation. Lead accounting / finance functions through transformational deals including acquisitions and divestitures.
