I am an accomplished, seasoned, successful PMP certified Senior Project Engineering Manager with a track record bringing technology projects on-line, managing cost, scope, schedule, and earned value performance reporting. I live in Denver Metro area and would like to interview with your company. While I am responding to your position announcement for a Project Engineer, I can envision several positions where my skill set would fit well with your business lines.
Currently, I am contracted to Suncor Energy USA as their Denver Area Project Engineer with direct responsibility managing the engineering interfaces between the URS and Suncor to deliver 320 MW of gas turbine co-generation to power for Suncor’s oil sands development in Alberta, Canada. I will close out the URS engineered scope for this project during the first quarter 2009.
As Suncor’s Area PE, my skill set fits well with your requirements for the Project position. For example:
– Manage project communications with key project staff members in the US and Canada.
– Manage the project punch list and drive the closure of open items affecting project performance
– Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process
– Analyze project earned value cost and schedule performance derived from Primavera
– Develop WBS’ for key subprojects that have to be performed on time and on budget, develop deliverables definitions, activity performance, prepare level 1 and 2 schedules.
– Develop work arounds to mitigate impacted rework
– Maintain the project risk registry
