COVER LETTER FOR:

Associate Director

To whom it may concern:

As the Associate Director of the Global Financial Services Institute (GFSI) and faculty advisor for several university initiatives, I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. George Kramer over the last 12 months. During that time, Mr. Kramer has been employed as a Student Technology Consultant (STC) on the GFSI Trading Floor, and has served as a student representative for visiting delegations for audiences ranging from the high school level to working professionals. In each case, Mr. Kramer has taken ownership of the program and has proven himself to be a valuable member of our team.

I had personally recruited Mr. Kramer based on his marketing and sales background. He was entrusted to increase the visibility of our programs to William Paterson University students and prospective students of our community outreach programs. In addition to these duties, Mr. Kramer’s responsibilities include:
i.) assisting professors and students with research requirements by using financial software platforms such as Bloomberg Professional, Research Insight, Thomson / Reuters, and others; ii.) training and developing the skill sets of new STCs on lab functionality, and IT related procedures; and iii.) providing tours for potential university donors, prospective students, and visiting scholars. He has performed these tasks admirably, demonstrating outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Mr. Kramer has also worked diligently over the past few months to expand his skill set, including increasing his technical and financial understanding. He has given several presentations to his peers in the Student Managed Portfolio providing information on market news, assisting students with stock presentations, and contacting potential guest speakers. He also requested to work more closely with our IT teams to help identify and resolve lab issues. I expect him to continue to seek new learning opportunities in these areas.

Mr. Kramer is well liked and respected by his peers and coworkers. If given the opportunity, I believe he can excel in a challenging sales career or in a client facing role where he can best utilize his social and leadership abilities. If you have any questions regarding Mr. Kramer’s employment at GFSI or his qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
