In regards to Senior management positions please review the enclosed resume detailing my background in the oversight of complex multi-layered retail, commercial, and restaurant new construction, alteration, repair and facilities management projects.
In my most recent role as a Restaurant Construction Project Manager for Tommy Bahama Group, Inc., I was responsible for the oversight of large, complex retail and restaurant construction projects from design conception through completion and store set up. In addition, I managed vendors and contractors, created and managed facilities maintenance budgets as well as capital improvement budgets in excess of 20 million dollars and executed those projects though design, construction documents, MEP engineering, contract negotiation, estimating, bidding, procurement, project and site management. My responsibilities also included the procurement of consultants and contractors, telecommunications, security, data processing, furniture, furnishings, move-in requirements, signage, mail services and landscaping. I have also directed the full life cycle of numerous construction projects for commercial, medical, and the food services industry nation wide. Some of my past achievements and qualifications include: • Businesses administration, operations management and business development of large commercial general contracting companies. • Successfully completing large complex commercial, retail and restaurant construction projects simultaneously with attention to detail while maintaining schedule and budget. • 18 years project management experience, with substantial practical experience in all phases of facilities maintenance, commercial design, alteration, tenant improvements and new construction • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interface across various Lines of Business and work effectively towards progressive business development. • Managed day to day of store construction projects including: New Stores, Remodels & Relocations, Retrofits, Standardizations and Fixture Roll-outs • Managed day-to-day activities of our construction partners for new & remodel store projects. • Managed fixture vendors and budgets and assists in the design, development and construction of all new fixtures • Managed all retrofit, remodel, roll-out and standardization projects, including: fixtures, electrical needs, timing, store staffing, security coordination and construction • Oversight of the day-to-day management of merchant vendor fixtures including fixture specifications, installation coordination and maintaining usage/location records • Tracked activities and installations of store signing project, including: design, in-house & landlord approvals, permitting requirements and installation • Partnered with outside Purchasing Agent to review new store plans for accurate FF&E orders and placement • Responsible for documenting & maintaining records on standardization projects • Submitted requests for barricade graphics, negotiates printing, coordinates installation • Prepare TI requests, tracks TI submittal timelines • Track lien periods and files Notice of Completion (NOC) with jurisdictions required, sending formal notice of NOC to GC & subcontractors • Processed & log all invoices & deposits • Maintained design & construction files. • Knowledge and experience in real estate/property management issues, including establishing relationships with landlords and property managers. Familiarity with typical commercial leases, ability to understand lease provisions relating to property and facility maintenance requirements.
