COVER LETTER FOR:

Construction Project Manager

Ronald G. Arbogast, Ph.D., P.E., LEED AP

I am on a dedicated mission to become a member of the construction industry family in the Dallas – Fort Worth area with a high quality organization which has an immediate need for my services and expertise. With over 25 years of diversified experience within the construction industry including numerous types of projects, I have attached a detailed resume identifying the types, contract amounts and locations of the projects I have managed. I possess the qualifications to become a contributing team member of your fine organization. An overview of my skills includes: • Excellent written and verbal communicator. • Exceptional organization and project management ability. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Superior project cost management ability. • Big picture foresight yet focuses on attention to detail. • Registered Professional Engineer. • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). My pre-construction (design-development-budgeting-scope-scheduling) and construction (operations & cost management) experience includes the systematic implementation of the LEED process. Having been the Project Manager on 2 projects in 2009, LEED NC GOLD Certification achieved (first manufacturing facility in the State of Michigan to achieve GOLD) and LEED CS Silver Certified, I have the ‘hands on’ experience and thorough knowledge of the LEED process. This experience in conjunction with my continuous career growth, has qualified me to meet the desired qualifications of your position. Two (2) relevant issues providing a better understanding of why I am applying for this opportunity, and will aid your decision to strongly consider me further for this position, are: • Southeastern Michigan Versus Dallas Relocation – I have just recently been laid off from a developer/contractor who has been forced to down size due to the dismal regional economic climate which blankets Southeastern Michigan. My decision to relocate to the Dallas – Fort Worth area is based on having 3 children living in the region. One son works for Club Corp. in Dallas; the other son works for Trinity Works (Edwards Ranch developer) in Fort Worth. I established residency in the Dallas – Fort Worth Area in early January, 2010. • Networking in Fort Worth – Dallas Area – You may question my ability to perform in a new region. I have managed projects in many states; numerous times I have gone as a stranger into urban and rural areas of other states with the sole purpose of finalizing a general contract, and undertaking an entire project from ‘concept to completion’. I have the ability to quickly network with the wide range of entities within the diverse design/construction arena. I am available to discuss our mutual interests within this opportunity at your earliest. 248-797-9982

Respectfully,
