Used "I" repeatedly in the beginning of the letter, then sentences became short, incomplete. Should try to start sentences other ways that don't begin with "I", such as: "When performing my assigned duties, I…..". Will flow more smoothly.

Agreed. Used "I" too many times. Also, when writing in paragraph style use full sentences not fragments.
