Assistant Controller

Dear Sir or Madam

I am extremely interested in joining your accounting team as your next Assistant Controller. Because of my extensive experience and expertise in accounting, management, asset protection, and auditing, I respectfully submit my resume.

As you will see by my resume, I have successfully taken the lead of the Property Control Team in the management of fixed assets at the City of Tampa, Florida, for the past 19 years. I retired from this position on November 20th, 2012 and am now actively seeking full time, permanent employment in the accounting and consulting field.

My value to your team is my ability to manage, coordinate, and direct smooth operations of any accounting mainframe based subsystem (including fixed assets and accounts payable) on a timely basis and insure they tie out to the general ledger. I also have extensive knowledge in auditing the areas of fixed assets, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, grants, as well as account reconciliations and journal entries. In addition, one of my key responsibilities has been to design account reconciliations and ad hoc reports to provide the results to upper management and accounting teams, which adds to my worth.

I realize the importance of superior customer service and getting the job done with competence, discipline, honesty, and integrity and am confident I can meet or exceed all of your expectations for this position. There is also an extreme realization on my part of the importance of great team work and asset protection.

Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to discussing with you my goal of our working towards a happy, prosperous, future, within your organization.
